With the state of the country today, as well as the situations and circumstances of our personal lives, many of us are in a battle with feelings of uncertainty concerning the future.
However, if you are a person of faith, you must understand that feelings of uncertainty are just that - feelings. My friend, feeling that don't align with faith in the Most High are merely weapons that form. But they cannot prosper. Whatever the Heavenly Father has determined to do for us, he will do that thing. However, how we handle uncertainty plays a role in just how fast he can do what He intends to do for us.
God is calling his children to let go of uncertainty. Things in the world and in your life will cause this feeling to rise in you. But you can let go of this feeling by casting in down and not allowing this feeling to affect your faith.
Here is the definition of uncertainty according to dictionary.com:
Doubt, hesitancy, mistrust, indecision, reluctance, and procrastination.
What each of these words have in common is that they are contrary to the spirit of faith. Then there are actions that are contrary to acts of faith. For example, if fasting is an act of faith, an inability or unwillingness to fast when instructed is not an act of faith. A failure to obey any instruction from the lord is working against your faith because in your flesh guilt will rise. Guilt will block your faith when you face uncertainty in your life. Therefore, it is better to obey God's instructions to the best of your ability and not put them off, or doubt his voice, or be hesitant to do what he is telling you to do.
1 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to
"Cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of God, and bring it into the obedience of Christ Jesus."
This is a powerful weapon of war. It is mighty through God to pull down the stronghold of doubt which is often paired with unbelief. How do you walk this out? You literally have to speak it out when a doubtful, unbelieving or fearful thought enters you mind. You bring it into the obedience of Christ by speaking what the word of God states concerning the matter you had to just cast down.
Doubt and unbelief want to rob you of God's promises. They are enemies to your faith and they must be warred against with the word of God. When you stand in your faith concerning what the word of God says you cannot lose. For this is what the word of God says about the Heavenly Father:
God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent. Has he said and shall he not do it? Has he spoken, and shall he not make it good!
Beloved, stand on the rock of the Word of God. It's almost over, the promise will be received. In due season you will reap if you faint not!
